Learning to Sew Clothes (for beginners)
https://www.lulus.com/blog/resources/learning-how-to-sew-clothing/
This link (above) is a really great introduction to making your own clothing, especially if you don’t have much (or any) experience with sewing. It breaks things down into manageable steps, which is super cool because acquiring a new skill can be intimidating. I like this guide a lot because designing & sewing clothing/costumes has brought a lot of joy and beauty into my life and I like the idea of people having a more of those things in their lives.
I didn’t find this link, a really cool friend of mine, Ella, was kind enough to show it to me. Thanks Ella!!

Talented Makers You Should Check Out For More Ideas

There is a truly AMAZING community of people who sew on Instagram. Super supportive, genuinely talented. It’s pretty exciting. There is everything- Highly specialized designers who make super-specific items, Historical Re-constructionists, Indie or Small-Scale designers, people learning to sew, Cosplayers, people with awesome habits like remaking out-dated thrift-store finds into super trendy new looks. The links below are (just a sample) of some of the really great sites (their own resources).
